  • Smart goal setting can make all the difference in your training, motivation and life. I’m trained and skilled in interviewing and I’ll make sure we’ll set goals that are gonna work for you, not against you.

  • Let’s see where you’re at. You’re going to move and I need to see how you move. It’ll show me what you need to work on. We can do this in-person or with a self-assessment programme you can do wherever you are in the world right now.

  • With that I have all the information I need to build you a plan. Depending on your whereabouts and needs we can agree on a package that works best for you. Whether that’s me checking in monthly via a video-call, or me going outdoors with you.

  • I’m a personal trainer. We will not just be talking, we will MOVE. Drawing on my background and work in psychology, I understand the vital connection between mental and physical well-being. I see movement as a tool for emotional clarity, resilience, and mental health - and that’s where it might hit the ‘life coach grounds’. And so I have to admit that yes, that’s kind of how working with me will feel. I will encourage you to tune into how movement feels, not just what it burns. And I will hold you accountable, like a life coach would.

  • I’m flattered you’d ask. Yes, if your training needs me joining you for an outdoors adventure: run, hike or surf. I will. I have contracts with a Christchurch based gym where I could coach you through your workouts.

  • I love that you asked. Now! Walk out the door and get those steps in. Your training or outfit doesn’t have to be perfect. Just the act of starting is perfect in itself. And when you find that it’s something you can keep up, that’s when you treat yourself to a decent pair of shoes.

  • When you find yourself doing the work, or committing to events, but not being able to do it in a sustainable way. Keeping your body and mind healthy. You might’ve run into injuries, found that you started dreading your training and maybe even not committed to it fully. I, as a personal trainer, will keep you safe, healthy and your practice enjoyable. You can rest assured that you’re doing the right thing to reach your goals. In return I will also hold you accountable.

  • The frequency of your workouts depends on your fitness goals and current fitness level. For general health, aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week. If your goal is weight loss or muscle gain, you might need more frequent sessions. I'll customise a plan based on your individual needs and lifestyle.

  • Your safety is my top priority. Before we begin, I'll conduct a thorough assessment of your fitness level, health history, and any specific concerns or limitations. This information helps me design a customized workout plan that considers your individual needs, ensuring both safety and effectiveness. I'll also monitor your form during exercises to prevent injuries.

  • Both home workouts and gym sessions can be effective, depending on your preferences and goals. I can design a program that suits your lifestyle and available equipment. Whether you prefer the convenience of home workouts or the variety of gym equipment, we'll work together to create a plan that aligns with your objectives and fits seamlessly into your daily routine.

  • Fuelling your body properly is crucial for optimal performance. Before a workout, opt for a balanced meal or snack that includes carbohydrates and protein, like a banana with peanut butter. Post-workout, prioritise protein and carbohydrates to aid in muscle recovery and replenish energy stores.
